Simply turn the tuning barrel counterclockwise until it releases from the ball end carrier, replace the stock washer with the bearing (with or without the outside races) and re-install the tuning barrel.
These tiny but powerful bearings reduce friction between the tuning knob and housing, giving you that silky, high-end feel you’ll notice instantly.
