Named for a town near HILS Guitars in Indiana, the HILS OSSIAN dreadnought delivers the timeless power and rich voice demanded by songwriters, strummers, and flatpickers – a classic tone that evokes America's heartland.
Our goal with the OSSIAN was to craft a premium yet affordable dreadnought utilizing tried-and-true, all-solid tonewoods. These carefully selected materials include a solid Sitka spruce top, solid mahogany back and sides, and an Indian rosewood fingerboard. This combination guarantees a full, balanced sound with beautiful harmonics that will mature beautifully over time.
We also use genuine bone for the nut and saddle and solid brass bridge pins for enhanced sustain.
In addition, the OSSIAN’s LR Baggs Element Bronze VTC pickup system and Florentine cutaway combine for an ideal onstage playing experience. These are just two more features that exemplify HILS' commitment to offering affordable quality and craftsmanship in every guitar.
