The longer 35" scale on the bass side helps keep the low B focused and defined, while the shorter 33" treble side keeps the higher strings fast and natural under your fingers. Add in 24 stainless steel frets and a smooth walnut fingerboard, and you get a bass that feels modern without feeling strange.

Active Tone Control, Passive Backup

The HNB5 comes loaded with custom single-coil pickups and an onboard active preamp with 3-band EQ, giving you quick access to deep lows, punchy mids, and crisp top-end detail. The blend control lets you dial in everything from round neck-pickup warmth to tighter bridge-pickup attack, while the push/pull active-passive volume control gives you extra flexibility when you need it.
